Right in the heart of the picturesque village of Glasson lays our charming pub and restaurant.
Moira and Miriam Grogan are your hosts and they preside over this wonderfully atmospheric, traditional family pub and restaurant.
The entrance though small is miss-leading as you enter you are struck by the character and charm of the bar. The cosy front bar is divided in the traditional manner and has a lovely open fire, flag stone floor and a mixture of wood and brass furnishings.
As you round the corner to the main restaurant there is another large open fire for those cosy winter evenings.
The building was established in 1750 and it feels as if the fundamentals haven’t changed too much since then.
We use only the finest, locally sourced ingredients
Our fish is delivered fresh from Four leaf clover, Galway. Our beef and lamb are supplied from James McBride, Mardyke Street, Athlone, and Sean Dunning Connaught Street, Athlone. Our fresh fruit and vegetables are supplied from Behan’s fruit and vegetables, Scotch parade Athlone. Our fresh chicken is supplied by Mr Seamus Fagan, Athlone.
